Structure-borne noise of steel and concrete box girders in an urban metro system: A hybrid evaluation and parametric study

Metro systems provide an efficient, convenient, and expeditious way to travel around crowded routes. Because these are established in cities, residential buildings close metro viaducts significantly affected by structure-borne noise (SBN). Although most previous studies developed SBN prediction with a focus on the accuracy computational efficiency of specific bridge type, only limited parameters for bridges were carried out. Thus, eliminating is still challenging task both design operation phases design. Therefore, this study integrates simplified experiments numerical analyses evaluate influential level (SBNL) two types girders, that is, double-box pre-stressed concrete girder steel girder. The present also proposes optimization method reducing SBNL identifies sources bridges. In paper, solutions mitigating first reviewed briefly introduced. A hybrid evaluation integrate transient finite-element simulation experimental results, main (e.g., thickness, train speed, fastener stiffness, track irregularity) induce examined method.
